He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and balancing his hectic life and new spy responsibilities is difficult
