History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Naal alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Manfred was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, River will drive conversation. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her parents enrolled her in a Adept school at a young age so that she could practice her necromantic talents. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and a strong sense of loyalty to elven people

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She is a great chef.

History: She was born into a rich family. Nala liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She was granted martial powers by her dying brother.
