During her travels, Eida and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Eida discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Eida fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

Personality: She is a Map Maker first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Ridaro was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She worked as a nervous Map Maker and found it very stressful. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 11 years.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Map Maker responsibilities is difficult; and sabotage a competitor

Description: A man of a pale complexion, he wears tight fitting clothing which further accentuates his frame. His hair, while still mostly silver, has prominent grey streaks. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Cairn grew up listening to his mother's many stories. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: Lezre hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her poetry career. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Lezre is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Elven companion (her 'brother'). She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
