Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. John enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Bardryn isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Dwarven unity. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. While she appears to be a normal Gnome, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
