He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Alston decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable.

Her shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for her due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. Her hair, while still mostly brown, has prominent grey streaks. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Born in the west her family was never financially stable. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
