Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. The war was a terrible time for him, and Fivin does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He married young, but lost his spouse to dire rats. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying brother.
