History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. Rurik liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Rurik never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
