History: Andraste lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Hadarai and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was born at the edge of vast desert. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Dagger has worked very hard to control her curse. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Drenna was raised in a hard working conservative environment.
