History: Veloptima was born the youngest of three triplets. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Sage they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Gardener, and she later adopted a second daughter.
