History: She was born in the east. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the east were limited. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Mardred fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Shadow hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Spy for hire.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and expand her business

History: Gifted from a young age, Theobald studied abroad. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has achieved small success as a Miller.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and someone believes him a fraud

Personality: Mantus speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Mantus was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes.
