Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: Born in the east to a Crown-heir, Gilbert learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

The war was a terrible time for her, and River does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: River was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and further expansion of business
