When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Cask fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Makaria grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Makaria abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Tabaxi artifacts is her passion.

He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature trident.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
