History: Umpen was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Sybil was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent father; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
