History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Laucian was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Laucian's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. A gifted student he started as a Cartwright, but he got bored and became a Miner. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
