Through the years after Mastema was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Mastema's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Valida was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. After coming to the age of reason, Valida took it upon herself to study the druidic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Valida was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the orcs.
