History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the west. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Personality: She misses her glory days as an athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Emma was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her childhood dream was to be a Glassblower, but she was a colossal failure. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. After months of barely getting by, Vani managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables.
