Gerard took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up shortspear and armor he uses now. Recently the stress of being a Ruler has made it difficult for him to sleep.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Assassin hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
