He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: She was born into a rich family. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and obtaining odd cultural dragonborn artifacts is her passion

History: Pikar was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He tends to his Knight job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
