History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. After a long history of fighting, Quick and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was born at the edge of vast plains. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature greatsword.

History: Born to a Fletcher, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.
