History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Rurik alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Herbalist and was forced into it by her family; and to reunite with her absent mother

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the east. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
