History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. Interpreter work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She now owns her own business.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed.
