Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Curran embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He works hard and plays hard.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Giselle and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She misses her glory days as an athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Sumnes was born on a far western forest where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Bellfounder. Now she works as a painting tutor during her time off.
