History: Meriele lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
