Personality: Ilanis wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Aristocrat, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She disdains her fellow southerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. While he appears to be a normal Halfling, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Knight hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Ralf was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.
