History: Torz hails from a village terrorized by drow. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it.

The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win.
