History: Kristryd was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Druid, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Druid in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She moved out west to avoid the crime she committed. Being a Carter kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Valafar grew up listening to his mother's many stories. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Qualen isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Gnomish unity. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When Qualen reached his early adolescence his Gnome father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her writing with anyone who is interested.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Carter arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
