History: He got into the Gardener business at a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Gardener. He now owns his own business.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He has all his life been fascinated with writing.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She dropped out of school to support her sick mother, and resented it. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She is ready at a moment's notice to give into her darker urges. She is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. She often ends up burning people alive in the fires she starts.

History: She got into the Shipwright business at a young age. Like her mother and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Shipwright. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Shipwright.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. Grom was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Grom decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned.
