History: Valafar was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: She got into the Stableman business at a young age. Her childhood dream was to be a Bricklayer, but she was a colossal failure. She has worked as a Stableman like her father before her.

Motivation: She wants revenge against illithids.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. The war was a terrible time for him, and Hupe does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the east. When Hupe reached his early adolescence his Halfling father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions.
