He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Ellywick was born on a far western island where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Tailor. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature flail.
