Upon awakening, Paela discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Paela fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Tiefling doctor. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
