History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Ootah grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ootah grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ootah. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Hrathy alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it
