Description: A plain young-adult woman, she likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. She has wavy auburn hair. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She snorts whenever she laughs or is feeling confident. Verna enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her parents enrolled her in a Commoner school at a young age so that she could practice her martial talents. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. She uses divination through singing.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Silaqui fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear.

Description: He is a pot bellied northern man with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. He prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs. He has a long brown beard with little hanging trinkets. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Armorer arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is greedy; and money/treasure

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to her own.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She was granted divine powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
