Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Oppleby is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Oppleby alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
