Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. Az-Adar enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Az-Adar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Shadow was born on a far eastern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Bookbinder. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
