History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Rael alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Gardener.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Pyra was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Pyra's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Dwarven people; and she is greedy

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Personality: She has a good heart but also a terrible temper. She will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
