History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Lance was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

History: She was born in the west. When Matilda reached her early adolescence her Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She now spends her time doing works of charity.
