History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. During his travels, Arannis and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Arannis discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Arannis fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Ostracized due to the divine powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside. She was granted divine powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She disdains her fellow westerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She is a Deep Scion in disguise. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Marry her brother to traveling adventurers.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered music. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down.

History: Born in the west to a Miller, Criella learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Miller hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Miller for hire.
