Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with black lining and desert motifs. His black hair has been sun bleached extensively. His red eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Barakas grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she tends to wear a large green jacket. Her crest is rusty, silky, and of moderate length. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes illithids are coming to abduct people. She is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids.

Description: He stands about 4'10" and wears a simple yellow robe with grey stripes complete with hood. His right leg appears badly burned and disfigured. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy golden hair. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this western guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. Kody is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and to reunite with his absent father

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what he was had he not made sure his armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit he wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty yellow coat over it. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. He has gleaming, smiling brown eyes.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Gardener. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To unite with his brother; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
