History: She was born in the north. Joan was born on a far northern mountains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Soapmaker. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
