His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

History: Baern was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She is underhanded and not above using her wealth and body to get others to do her bidding.

History: Rohesia lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
