Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She was granted psionic powers by her dying brother.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town.
