History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Cartwright hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Alice fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Bellfounder responsibilities is difficult; and he is unsatisfied with his job

She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was granted divine powers by her dying brother.

Personality: She is happy with her job as a Spy. She turns her eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. Valida enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. A gifted student she started as a Sage, but she got bored and became a Spy. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
