History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Cairn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. After a long history of fighting, Cairn and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She got into the Barkeep business at a young age. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Kathra fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
