He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Soapmaker. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Himo was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.
