Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Lamlis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in the north to a Map Maker, Ribbles learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Through the years after Ribbles was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Ribbles's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now owns his own business.

Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she's looking for her big break
