History: Serpent lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Gardener they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Map Maker, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: She trusts no one. She is not readily capable for forgiveness and her ire never leaves her. She can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.
