History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the west. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and to get a good night's sleep

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he loathes his own lifestyle
