Through the years after Ernest was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Ernest's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Ernest and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He exudes charisma. He is a tour de force of persuasion. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered drow who tried to eat his hand. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of drow; and someone believes him a fraud
