History: The child of a Sculptor, who enjoyed hunting, Oppleby was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Oppleby alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of orcs

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Gifted from a young age, Shadow studied abroad. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and wishes to resurrect an old love
