History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Rurik grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Rurik. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Scribe they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Performer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Performer and was forced into it by his family.
